Film reviews can play a large part in whether we decide to spend ten bucks on a movie or just wait for the DVD to come out. For example, "Transformers: Dark Side of The Moon" received some less than kind reviews by top critics, but it still did well at the box office. Personally, I enjoy film reviews but don't depend on them exclusively to make up my mind about a film. A movie's trailer can tell me all I need to know about whether a film is worth my precious time. Don't get me wrong, I like film reviews; they can be entertaining and yet heartbreaking, especially if you're the artist getting slammed by your favorite New York Times critic. But what do you think? Do you place high value in film reviews or do you outright ignore them? Inquiring minds want to know. While you're pondering this, check out my review for Waitress; it came out a few years ago and stars Keri Russell and the late, great Andy Griffith.
